Snow!!!

The snow finally arrived at Grand Targhee. Sol and I scraped the car clean from 18 inches of snow on Friday morning. It was the most snow that car has ever seen. When we finished around 2pm, Chris scrapped another 8 inches off the roof. We had to put the chains on to get down the hill.

It was an awesome day, straight runs in the morning where you surfed all the way down the hill and wrecked into feet of powder while giggling. Even the locals were calling it Epic!! We didn't stop to take too many pictures but I really like this one of Sol.

Since we had all the snow we decided to try and hop off some of the cliffs that Grand Targhee is famous for. It really didn't work out for us. Chris goes first than its me. Both are really ugly but here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Grand Targhee

Sol, Chris & I are still on the roadtrip. We are basically sitting at Grand Targhee waiting for the snow. No one in the 3 state area has had any significant accumulation since before we started. The good news is that we woke up to snow this morning. It's supposed to keep snowing through Saturday so we are just going to stay here. The picture above is the Tetons yesterday.

The day before we went Cross Country skiing instead of riding since the conditions weren't very good. Here are Chris and Sol coming down a small hill.

This is me at the top of the small knob Sol and I climbed. It doesn't look like much but it was a tough climb and a fun descent. I have video of my getting buried in the snow but I haven't edited it yet.

Woodpecker Video

We saw a woodpecker pounding away at Powder Mountain. Sol and I were very close and he didn't seem to mind. My pictures didn't come out but Sol captured this video. Now if only I could get it to play in Blogger . . .We'll try YouTube instead!

Pictures from the Ski Roadtrip

Chris flew into Boise and than we drove down to Salt Lake City to pick up Sol. We are having a good time. I've got a few photos to share. Here is the view from the top of Powder Mountain.

There was a cool man-made waterfall in the canyon on the way to Powder. Here are Chris & Sol in the canyon at the base of the waterfall. We've made it to Grand Targhee. You can actually see the Tetons today, of course it is still cloudy. Here is me Here is Sol Here is Chris
