More Baby Stuff

Thanks to my friend Jen who works at Scandanivan Child we ordered some more baby stuff. Philip and I took a day off from the mountain so we did some assembly.

One of the first two things to arrive was a cool bassinet (designed and made in New Zealand) with an activity gym that mounts on the top and can be removed later and used as a play center.
The second item is the Toro stroller with the 'Newborn Carry Cot'. Put together it looks like a proper 'buggy'. We can also attach the car seat straight onto the stroller when we get it if we don't want the buggy.

Finally Snowing!!

Philip and I came over to Grand Targhee on Sunday for our big snowboard trip of 2009. We were going to work through GT, Jackson Hole, and Big Sky. However there was a storm system coming so we came straight here and haven't left yet. Unfortunately we only got a max of five inches of snow from that system on Tuesday. Other than that it has been light until today. It is dumping now, but the wind came up as well so they closed down the mountain on us. I took some pictures trying to capture the snow fall but it is such a powdery light mist they don't really come out.
Hopefully this storm system dumps as much as they system last year did. I couldn't figure how to link back to the post from last year but it is March 2008 if you want to check them out. Here is the weather update so you can watch from home.

It's over! On to our next adventure...

As you can tell by the appalling lack of blog posts, we've had a very busy end to 2008, along with a mad dash into 2009 and months of hard work leading up to the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Well, it's finally over. And we couldn't be more relieved or exhausted.

We're quickly recovering from the intense work schedule and trying hard to find the motivation to close out the Games. I'm preoccupied with trying to get life in order, given that I just realized the baby is due in only six weeks... Josh is preoccupied with snowboarding and helping me realize that we've got a baby coming in just six weeks!

Soon to come on the list of long overdue blog posts:
Photos from our summer trips to Yellowstone and Coeur d'Alene, a big horn sheep sighting at Thanksgiving, maybe a pic or two from my baby shower and an update on "the bump" (stop bugging me, will ya :-), a photo of our adorable knit lion from Jody, pix of the new mommy-mobile (a rockin CX7) and some pix from the Games too.

Stay tuned.
