Pictures from the First Few Days at Home

We have made it home and are adjusting to life with a newborn. The first two nights were rough and we didn't get too much sleep. Simon is a great baby during the day but not much fun overnight. Our friend Ruth offered to let us borrow Fiona's swing (here is her blog) as she is not using it anymore. It got mixed reviews so far but Simon looks very cute in it.

We did have a great night last night. Simon slept for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at a time. We took the advice of Chris and used the Miracle Blanket that Pam & Chris gave us. It really worked for us, if you watch the video the baby goes from angry to calm as he is getting swaddled. That is exactly what Simon did last night. We decided to not mess with what was working so he actually ended up sleeping in his stroller top with the lights on since we didn't want to change anything. Here is a picture of the happy sleeping boy.

Leaving the Hospital

On Sunday we left the hospital we came home from the hospital. Simon was a bit fussy as he got into the car seat but he did great riding in the car.

Here he is in his seat at the hospital. We got lots of beautiful blankets from our friends and family but Simon got to come home in this yellow one that Grandma Scofield made for him.

Here are Joanie and Simon coming down in the wheelchair. It was actually snowing as we left.

Here is Simon all set in the car. He did great on the way home, sleeping the whole way.

Introducing Simon Scofield Crosby

We would like you to meet Simon Scofield Crosby. He is quite a cutie! Here he is with a big yawn.

Our nurse Tracy took our first family photo minutes ago.

It's a Boy!!

Baby Scofield Crosby arrived this morning at 2:02am. He is 6 lbs. 14oz, and 16 19 inches long. Both he and Mom are doing great though Dad seems more traumatized than either of them. Here he is on the scale.

It was a very busy day for babies in Boise, Id. BSC was the 12th baby born at our hospital. Here we are moving from the Labor & Delivery area up to the Mother/Baby care unit. This was roughly 4:30am our time.

We are still working on names. We should make a final decision this afternoon.

At the Hospital

We just wanted to let everyone know that we are at the St. Luke's hospital this afternoon. Joanie's water has broken and Dr. King says it should be tonight!
