Pictures from the First Few Days at Home

We have made it home and are adjusting to life with a newborn. The first two nights were rough and we didn't get too much sleep. Simon is a great baby during the day but not much fun overnight. Our friend Ruth offered to let us borrow Fiona's swing (here is her blog) as she is not using it anymore. It got mixed reviews so far but Simon looks very cute in it.

We did have a great night last night. Simon slept for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at a time. We took the advice of Chris and used the Miracle Blanket that Pam & Chris gave us. It really worked for us, if you watch the video the baby goes from angry to calm as he is getting swaddled. That is exactly what Simon did last night. We decided to not mess with what was working so he actually ended up sleeping in his stroller top with the lights on since we didn't want to change anything. Here is a picture of the happy sleeping boy.

Bleary eyed with sleep and still blogging. You, Joshua are a trooper :-) Glad to see everything is going well. Can't wait to snuggle him.

ditto to Keswickian - I salute you! Keep it up! And all hail the miracle blanket! I'm so glad it seems to work for you. We just gave it up for Sam, sad to say goodbye to it.

he's so freaking adorable. I know the interrupted sleep thing stinks, but it gets better, promise.
